Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the birth of Enlace Funk magazine, we selected ten producers and threw out the challenge to produce a track influenced by the guiding spirit of The Godfather of Soul. The brief was to imagine that Brown himself had entrusted them with a track for release today. The end result reflects the personality of each individual producer and combines a range of different styles as broad as Brown's own recorded output. These 10 previously unrecorded compositions, released for the first time on this record, combine the deepest of organic grooves with productions infused with electronic and contemporary sounds.
